Cardboard Cottages
Cardboard Cottages was a site specific work for the 2022 Living Smart Festival. It used recycled cardboard and other sustainably repurposed materials to create a village of cardboard “houses” that reference the thousands of nineteenth century miners’ cottages dotted throughout the Hunter Valley – while also reflecting on various challenges of sustainability in housing that face us today.
